The luncheon meeting will be their first subsequent to Barack Obama’s emphatic reelection to the White House earlier this month after an arduous presidential campaign that pitted the Democrat Barack Obama against the ideologically divergent Republican Mitt Romney.
White House spokesman, Jay Carney, has remarked that Barack Obama had no particular agenda for his Thursday meeting with Mitt Romney. But in the Barack Obama-Mitt Romney meeting, the US President would like to converse about the Mormon Republican’s notions for streamlining the governmental services.
Regarding the streamlining of governmental services, Barack Obama has recommended unifying some functions of government connected to business. The President has requested the US Congress to grant him jurisdiction so that he can implement some executive branch reorganisation.
