Can charity organizations offer hope to deprived Afghanistan children?

By Meera Takkar

Afghanistan, a strategically pivotal nation, which has been obliterated by bloodcurdling instability since 1979, has had many victims of this instability, principal among which is the Afghan child community. The Soviet war in Afghanistan, beginning in 1979, which continued through the next nine years, was succeeded by ghastly warlordism in Afghanistan, which spilled bloody fanaticism across the Afghan soil.

Gary Johnson’s White House bid most triumphant in Libertarian party history

Gary Johnson’s White House bid most triumphant in Libertarian party history

November 8, 2012
By Marion Dean

Gary Johnson, the American businessman and ex-Governor of New Mexico, who was the Libertarian Party’s presidential nominee in the US presidential elections, has obtained approximately 1% of the national vote, which has made Gary Johnson the most triumphant White House candidate in the Libertarian Party’s history.

Gary Johnson, who served as the Republican Governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003, uttered to Fox News that the Libertarian Party’s mission was accomplished for now. The Libertarian party, as per the former Governor, had presented a genuine ‘small government’ and ‘individual liberty’ option to the voters in almost every state.

There exists an organisational infrastructure now, as per Gary Johnson, which will transport the Libertarian Party ideology to every nook of America. The Libertarian Party was established in 1971.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden, elected as US Vice President, as per the US presidential election results, has voiced to reporters that Barack Obama’s election to the White House indicates that many voters are closer to the Democrat ideology vis-à-vis addressing the thorny ‘tax issue.’

Meanwhile, Gary Johnson has remarked that he was enthused by his performance and indicated that he intended to continue to advocate ‘limited governmental polices’ in the socioeconomic sector. Gary Johnson has, however, uttered that it was too soon to talk about another Libertarian presidential bid by him in 2016.

As New Mexico Governor, he had focused on school voucher reforms and marijuana decriminalisation. Johnson had adhered to a strict anti-tax and anti-bureaucracy policy as Governor and was epitomised by fiscal conservativeness.

Gary Johnson constituted a non-profit Our American Initiative in 2009, which propagates policies like privatization, overseas non-interventionism, limited government and free enterprise.

Supporters of Gary Johnson have expressed their delight because of his performance, saying that his attainment of more than 1 million votes hurt the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan White House campaign. Those Americans in favour of a ‘check’ on the Democrat-Republican ‘two party system’, which has characterised American politics for decades, have welcomed Johnson’s creditable showing.

The Libertarian presidential candidate’s ‘legal immigration policy’ was praised for its moderateness by immigration organisations.

One Response to Gary Johnson’s White House bid most triumphant in Libertarian party history

We Libertarians keep coming back and by 2016 after four more years of economic depression and goverment oppresion, many more Americans will join us to restore our nation to peace, prosperity and liberty. As Gary Johnson often proclaimed: “Live free.”
